Students have ‘Super Day’ at ENMU-R

Two students expertly dissect a frog at the Super Day event Tuesday at the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell campus. More than 200 gifted students from all the 12 elementary schools in Roswell traveled to ENMU-R to explore possible career [auth] choices. Students were offered 29 classes to choose from that were taught by community volunteers and numerous parent volunteers from Roswell. Some of the workshops that were offered include frog dissecting, rocket building, laparoscopic surgery, karate, yoga, wildlife, digital photography and others. The Roswell Independent School District’s Super Day is sponsored by the RISD’s Gifted Department for all of the elementary students receiving gifted services in the district. The students that participated ranged from second grade to fifth grade. (Submitted Photo)
