Authorities said 37-year-old Lisa Springer was arrested this week and was charged with [auth] battery against a household member.
According to a criminal complaint, Carlsbad police were called the couple’s home earlier this month in response to a domestic disturbance.

Authorities say the victim told investigators Springer was habitually physically abusive and intoxicated.
Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Mike Chavarria says Springer, a deputy sheriff, has been placed on administrative leave.
Spring was ordered held on $10,000 cash bond.
It was not known if Springer had an attorney.
