Alpha Delta Kappa, an honorary sorority for women in education recently gave away three $500 scholarships to two students in Roswell and one from Aurora, Colorado.
The Roswell chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa is [auth] the Zeta chapter and has 12 members involved.
Each year, the sorority gives away scholarships to students to help “further their education for their first year of college,” said Patty Rodgers, the president of the Zeta chapter.
The students who received scholarships were Eathyn Griffin and Stephanie Bakers, graduates of Goddard High School and Collin Payne from Aurora, Colorado.
All of the scholarships that were given away were in honor of Alpha Delta Kappa members who were outstanding educators in Roswell Independent School District, according to a press release.
“We’re not very big but we do some big stuff,” said Rodgers.
