Dead man found in his home in Hobbs

New Mexico State Police responded [auth] to a call on a dead man found in his house in Hobbs. Jason Cummings, 32, of Hobbs, was found dead.

Cigarettes stolen from North Walgreens
The Roswell Police Department responded to a report of shoplifting at Walgreen North at 3:40 a.m. Friday, where $60 of cigarettes were allegedly taken.

Driver busted for paraphernalia residue
Police contacted a driver in the 500 block of West 18th Street at 1:57 a.m. Jaime Marin, 31, of Roswell, was arrested on charges of possessing paraphernalia. Marin had a metal smoking device with marijuana residue in his possession, according to police.

Tires damaged in the dead of night
Police responded to a report of criminal damage on the 300 block of West Mescalero Road, at 12:51 a.m. Friday where the victim found her tires damaged. Value of tires was estimated at $300.

Traffic stop leads to drug bust
Police preformed a traffic stop at Washington Avenue near the Tilden Street intersection for expired registration. Police said the driver was in possession of 24.3 grams of amphetamines.

Theft in the workplace
Police responded to a report of larceny in the 4000 block of North Main Street where a $200 AT&T LG Xpression was set down and later found missing.

Bust for drinking and driving
Roswell police arrested David Sicade, 38, of Albuquerque for allegedly driving while under the influence.

Drug bust at traffic stop
Police preformed a traffic stop at Garden Street and Cherry at 7 p.m. where Ricardo Quezada Jr., 19, of Roswell was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug delivery busted by cops
Roswell police arrested Kimberly Merrifield, 29, of Roswell, Thursday on a charge of possession, delivery/manufacture of drug paraphernalia. The arrest occurred in the 1000 block of West Walnut Street at 7:01 p.m.

Underwear thief still at-large
Roswell police responded to a report of larceny at the southwest Dollar General at 6:08 p.m. Thursday where three packs of briefs underwear, a nude-color bra, and socks were reported stolen.

Indecent drinking in public
Roswell police responded to a reference of indecent exposure at the 100 block of East McGaffey at 4:30 p.m. Thursday where Alberto Candelaria, aka Sonny and Roberto Candelaria, 62, of Roswell was arrested on a charge of drinking in public.

Burglary at Sally Port parking lot
Roswell police responded to a vehicle burglary at the Best Western Sally Port Inn at 9:35 a.m., Thursday where a Dell backpack worth $50, an Apple/MacBook laptop worth $2,500, a Jensen Silver baseball cap worth $10, a first-generation Ipod worth $100, a necklace worth $60 and $4 in loose change were stolen.
