Roswell Police responding to a report of an aggravated assault on Monday, arrested a Roswell woman on outstanding warrants.
Police were called to the 2300 block of Cole Avenue at about 2 a.m. on Monday to conduct a welfare check following a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm, according to a police report. Once there, the officers found Tasha Nicole Bravo, 24, of Roswell, who was subsequently arrested on charges of failure to appear and concealing identity.
Police had been at the address at about 8 p.m. on Monday after a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm against household member. No arrest was reported, but a .22 caliber Ruger pistol was taken by police for safekeeping.
Unattended death reported
Roswell Police investigated an unattended death on Tuesday morning.
The call came in at 5:49 a.m. on Tuesday from the 3000 block of South Louisiana Avenue.
Blunt object used as weapon
Police investigated an assault with a blunt object at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1300 block of North Maple Street. The report was of an aggravated assault on household member with other weapon. No arrest was reported.
Burglars get TV
Roswell Police are investigating a burglary with forced entry on the 600 block of West Mathews Street, which was reported at 5:35 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, burglars made off with over $1,800 in items, including a 75-inch flat-screen TV valued at $1,700, a Nintendo Wii and a DVD player.
Police seize marijuana
Roswell Police seized about $1,500 worth of marijuana on Tuesday.
Nearly 200 grams of dope, with an estimated value of $1,500, along with a marijuana grinder and a glass smoking pipe, were seized following a report of found narcotics in the 1000 block of Plaza Del Sol.
The resident of that address, Travis I. Brackeen, 26, was arrested on outstanding warrants on charges including failure to appear, failure to comply, failure to pay fines and fugitive from justice (arrest prior to requisition).
No drug possession charges were listed for Brackeen as of Wednesday afternoon.
Man arrested on drug charges
Roswell Police arrested a Roswell man on drug charges late Tuesday evening.
Gabriel Antonio Montoya, 25, of Roswell, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of East Second Street at about 11:47 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a police report.
According to the report, Montoya had in his possession 7.9 grams of marijuana and a glass smoking device.
