Memorial services will be held for Juanita Fay Browning, of Roswell, at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, NM. Juanita Fay (Scarberry) (Shipp) Browning was born in Hagerman on May 28, 1938 and passed away on July 1, 2014.
She married R.G. Shipp of Hagerman in 1954.
After R.G.’s demise, she married Joe “Bus” Browning, who also preceded her in death.
Juanita was the second of eight children born to Levi Alexander Scarberry and Pauline (Strickland) Scarberry.
She is survived by one sister, Teena Ruth (Scarberry) Swisher, of Moffat, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorotha Lee (Richardson) and Mary Jean (Northcutt), and all four of her brothers: Larry Edward, Levi, Jr., Paul Wayne and Jimmy Ray Scarberry.
Juanita was a housewife and lived her entire life in Hagerman, before moving to Roswell around 1995.
The last few years of her life were spent in the Casa Maria Nursing Home in Roswell.
Juanita will be missed by her sister Teena, brother-in-law Marten Swisher, and her friends.
