Man caught with smoking device during traffic stop

Police reported seizing a glass smoking device during a traffic stop Friday night.

Roswell officer Kurtis Mowbray reported he conducted the traffic stop at about 10:45 p.m., Friday, near West Hendricks Street and Cypress Avenue because the vehicle had in inoperable brake light.

Police said Christopher D. Tuckness, 32, was found in possession of a glass smoking device.

The pink device was seized, police said.


Woman found in possession of paraphernalia

A woman was issued an arrest citation Friday [auth] afternoon after Roswell police responded to a call at Roswell Credit Union.

Police said Devette R. Archuleta, 34, of Roswell, was found in possession of two needles and a spoon with brown residue, consistent with drug paraphernalia used to inject heroin.

Police said the drug paraphernalia was seized.


Car title, registration found to be false

A Roswell woman’s license plate and vehicle registration were seized early Friday.

Roswell police said the 2000 Chrysler of Londie S. Padilla, 40, contained false evidence of title and registration.

The property was seized at about 3:54 a.m. in the 200 block of East Forest Street.


Marijuana seized after traffic stop

A Roswell woman was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana early Friday after a traffic stop.

Roswell police said Jacklyn V. Garcia, 22, was stopped at about 2:28 a.m. near Southeast Main and East Hobbs streets.

Police said more than 11 grams of marijuana were seized.


Man arrested on drug charges

A Roswell man was arrested on drug charges and outstanding warrants after a traffic stop early Friday.

Roswell police said Eric O. Thompson, 53, was stopped at about 12:55 a.m. in the 400 block of South Atkinson Avenue.

Police said Thompson was driving with a revoked driver’s license and had two outstanding warrants.

Police said Thompson was also found in possession of more than 7 grams of marijuana.
