LRAA recognizes local leaders

Several exceptional community leaders were recognized during the Leadership Roswell Alumni Association’s 17th Annual Awards Banquet, which was held recently at New Mexico Military Institute. James Edwards, at left, received the Commitment to Youth [auth] Award. Edwards is a learning community coach for the Title V program at ENMU-Roswell. Alice Eppers, center, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Eppers served as the office manager for Congressman Joe Skeen’s Roswell office and served as a Chaves County commissioner. She is a member of the Republican Women of Chaves County and served as chairman of the Chaves County Republican Party. Rick Kraft, at right, received the Outstanding Leader Award. Kraft has practiced law in Roswell for the past 29 years and is a co-owner of the law firm, Kraft & Hunter. (Courtesy photo)
