Authorities recovered several stolen trailers and seized 10 ounces of methamphetamine in Artesia on Thursday, according to a news release from the Pecos Valley [auth] Drug Task Force.
Agents with the task force and the Drug Enforcement Agency, along with assistance from the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office and the Artesia Police, arrested Henry Hernandez, 43, on federal charges of trafficking controlled substances.
The officers and agents searched 1301 W. Briscoe St. and 237 Bolton Road in Artesia, where they discovered three stolen trailers, a stolen backhoe and a stolen fifth-wheel RV trailer, according to police.
The stolen items, along with two vehicles, five firearms and 10 ounces of methamphetamine were seized.
The case is still under investigation, and further charges against Hernandez are pending, according to the news release.
