ALBURQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police say the driver of a black SUV that struck four pedestrians downtown may have hit them intentionally. One of the pedestrians died and the other three were injured but are expected to survive.
Police say the incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. Monday around 1st Street and Iron Avenue.
According to police, officers observed unspecified evidence that suggests the incident was not an accident and might have been malicious.
Police say the SUV had faded black paint, that it has front-end damage and was occupied by two men.
Information on the victims wasn’t released.
