Wedding tent collapses on Albuquerque golf course

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Several people suffered minor injuries Saturday night when a tent sheltering wedding reception guests in Albuquerque collapsed.

The Albuquerque Journal reports ( 40 guests [auth] were finishing dinner at about 7:30 p.m. at the Sandia Resort and Casino golf course when a wind gust caused the 30-by-40-foot tent to come down.

Authorities say two people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries while six others were treated at the resort.

Michael Garcia, a wedding guest, told KOB-TV ( that a tent pole hit his head but he managed to get back up and help people get out of the tent.
