Roswell Police officers responded to more than 40 incidents, and arrested a total of 30 individuals throughout the course of the weekend.
Some of the charges for the arrested include possession of methamphetamine, battery against a household member, aggravated DUI, abandonment or abuse of a child, and negligent use of a deadly weapon — as well as vehicle burglary, larceny, and multiple fires.
Burglars strike [auth] around town
One vehicle burglary occurred at a hotel on the 200 block of East 19th Street. Over $500 worth of items were stolen, including a car seat. A motorized bicycle valued at $700 was reported stolen from the 1200 block of South Main Street.
Another vehicle burglary occurred on the 4500 block of North Main Street. The vehicle window was busted out and a firearm was stolen. The estimated damages to the vehicle are $100, while the value of the stolen firearm is roughly $150.
Poodle puppy pilfered
A poodle puppy was reported stolen from a yard on the 700 block of East Mathews Street.
Multiple fires reported
Multiple fires were reported in the city over the weekend. Five garbage bins were reported to have been set on fire. Three were reported to have occurred on the 800 block of East Hendricks Street, and two in the area of Ash and Hendricks streets.
It is currently unknown how much damage was done to the garbage bins.
