She was born August 16, 1922 to Thomas Kirk Jones and Marie Kerr Jones in Eldorado, Texas where she was raised and educated. Rosalyn was a graduate of Texas State College for Women with a B.A. in Education. On August 24, 1944, Rosalyn married F. Joe Reynolds in San Angelo, Texas. They resided on a ranch near Big Spring, Texas before relocating to the family ranch near Corona, New Mexico.
Roz had unconditional love for her family and was known for her cooking. She took great pleasure in watching loved ones eat, actually overeat. A common occurrence at meals was watching Roz stealthily slide serving dishes closer to anyone who had finished. Roz had endless energy and was always working. She selflessly gave to her family, friends, and neighbors. Roz was a faithful Christian and was devoted to the church. She was a talented pianist and shared her gift with the church on Sundays. She never met a stranger and had a sense of humor that will long be remembered.
Rosalyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice Koy, Victoria Ohlenburg and Pauline Lucas; brothers, John I. Jones, Richard Jones and Jack Jones; husband, F. Joe Reynolds; and son, Ronald Reynolds.
She is survived by her son, Michael Reynolds of Austin; daughters, Cindy Scherer and husband, Pete of Midland, and Marilyn Naylor and husband, John of Roswell, New Mexico; grandchildren, Ashley Wittenburg, Scott Scherer, Brian Scherer, Kimberly Word, Suzann Naylor, Mitch Naylor, and Lee Reynolds.
