SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Police have arrested a man accused of committing two dozen commercial burglaries around Santa Fe, including the Office of the State Treasurer.
The Santa Fe New Mexican reports (http://bit.ly/1grAEAI) that police say 23-year-old James Montoya told them that he was behind the burglaries that occurred within the past few months.
Authorities arrested Montoya on Monday for a January burglary of a church and another at a medical office in February.
New Mexico State Police say DNA evidence links Montoya to the theft of electronics from the treasurer’s office that happened the same day as the medical office burglary.
Montoya is being held in the Santa Fe County jail.
