They spent $100,000 taking out the asbestos. The thing sits right on top of Cielo Grande–where countless community events are staged, including Hike It And Spike It. Why not let someone transform this building into visitor space for the park–refreshment areas, food court, even a nice space up top in the observation deck where visitors can relax and watch all the festivities, or a spectacular sunset? I know, I know–we need to rip it down because…because…..hey! does anyone other than the wise old owls on the City Council know why?
