They spent $100,000 taking out the asbestos. The thing sits right on top of Cielo Grande–where countless community events are staged, including Hike It [auth] And Spike It. Why not let someone transform this building into visitor space for the park–refreshment areas, food court, even a nice space up top in the observation deck where visitors can relax and watch all the festivities, or a spectacular sunset? I know, I know–we need to rip it down because…because…..hey! does anyone other than the wise old owls on the City Council know why?
