He referred to himself as a fizzled firecracker. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Norma. He and Norma moved to Roswell in 1999 [auth] from Springfield, Illinois. One reason for moving was to be able to play golf. John was an avid golfer and had several holes-in-one. He retired as an accountant from the State of Illinois. He and Norma were owners of the Dal Acres Dog Kennel. John was a dog handler recognized by the American Kennel Club. He showed his dog Chip and many dogs for other clients.
Special thanks is given to caregiver Tahra Slade for all the love and laughter she gave John, also to neighbors, Allen and Betty Teel for their loving support, and to staff of La Villa and Mission Arch.
Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview, Illinois.
