Aggravated assault

[auth] Police responded to Variety Liquor, 1100 W. Second St., this week, after a fight erupted outside and shots were fired. A truck sustained damage as a result of gunfire. One woman was arrested for obstruction. The incident is under investigation.



Police received a report of possible fraud at Walmart, 4500 N. Main St., Tuesday. A store representative told officials that sometime between Aug. 1, 2013, and March 5, 2014, a 22-year-old male subject may have embezzled $10,000 from the company. The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division.


Criminal damage

Police were called to 3200 block of North Kentucky Avenue, where a subject or subjects carved “squiggles and lines” into a vehicle door causing $500 worth of damage. The victim stated that the incident occurred between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
