Samantha was born Aug. 26, 1988, in Roswell, N.M., to Joe and Sharon Fromhold, but she spent most of her life in San Angelo, Texas.
Her family moved to San Angelo when she was four years old, and she attended school at Fannin Elementary, Lincoln Middle School and Lake View High School. She participated in cheerleading, volleyball and track and field while at Lake View.
Samantha became a mother on Aug. 2, 2008, when she gave birth to her son, Ashtyn. Less than a year later, she met the man who would one day become her husband, Paul Harris. She loved to hear Paul’s version of how they met, especially when Paul described her as the prettiest girl he had ever seen, which usually made her cry and smile at the same time.
It didn’t take long for Samantha, Paul and Ashtyn to become a family. They welcomed another son into their lives July 7, 2011, when Liam was born. Samantha loved her boys and taking them to feed the ducks at the park.
Samantha had a wonderful sense of humor, made even better by her great laugh and smile. She was at her best when joking around and playing with her family. She often had her nieces, Gretchen and Heidi Bundick, on weekends for sleepovers.
Samantha also had a passion for traveling, seeing new things and meeting new people. She loved word games and particularly enjoyed beating Paul in a game of Scrabble. She loved music and filled her house and car with the sounds of John Lennon and George Harrison.
Samantha became sick in the last year of her life, but even in her final hours she was helping her son get ready for school the next day. She truly loved her family.
Preceding Samantha in death was her mother, Sharon.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, and their sons, Ashtyn and Liam; father Joe; three sisters, Laurie Frost (and boyfriend Jason), Millicent Bundick (and husband Jeremy) and Brittany Humphreys (and husband Tommy); nephews Justin Frost (and wife Kayla), Chris Malecek and Jameson Humphreys; nieces Gretchen and Heidi Bundick; great niece Emma Frost; grandmother Alpha Edwards and aunts Susan Miller and Beth Buzbee, of Cullman, Ala.; uncles Terry Frost and Tommy Frost of Roswell, N.M.; and longtime friend, Ali Cabarubio.
Final arrangements were provided by Shaffer Funeral Home.
