Roswell Police responded to an indecent exposure report at the city library on Tuesday afternoon.
A 22-year-old woman was in the library doing homework, when she saw a man masturbating behind her, according to police. The woman notified the library personnel, but by the time the police arrived, the man had fled.
Expensive damage to property reported
Tuesday afternoon Roswell Police responded to a report of criminal damage in the 1500 block of North Kansas Avenue. A resident reported $5,500 in damage to his property, including $1,000 damage to a backyard fence, $2,000 damage to a breaker box, $1,000 damage to the electrical systems and $1,500 in damage to the home’s carpet.
Police investigate vehicle arson
Police investigated a vehicle fire on the 300 block of North Michigan Avenue on Tuesday. Roswell arson investigators are continuing to look into the incident. The vehicle was a 2009 Chevrolet pickup valued at $25,000, according to the report.
Burglars steal PlayStation, laptop
A forced burglary was reported in the 200 block of West 11th Street at about 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, thieves took a laptop, a PlayStation, a Craftsman tool box and a Vizio TV. The items were valued at $1,200.
Handguns, AR-14 reported stolen
Police responded to a non-forced burglary on the 1300 block of West Third Street on Tuesday. Reported stolen were four handguns and an AR-14 rifle. The total value of the stolen guns was reported at $2,600.
Man arrested on drug charge
At about 12:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Roswell Police responded to a burglary in progress call on the 300 block of East Eighth Street. When the police arrived, they found Lance C. Wortman, 37, of Roswell, who was arrested in connection with a charge of possession of a controlled substance, which police suspect to be 10.6 grams of methamphetamines. The substance was sent to the lab for analysis.
Disturbance call results in arrest
Roswell Police responding to a domestic disturbance call on the 200 block of West Deming Street arrested a Roswell man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christopher D. Tuckness, 31, of Roswell, was arrested for allegedly possessing a glass smoking device and a silver spoon with residue, according to the police report.
