Wolgamott, Hazel Ann Evans Stuart entered eternal peace on January, 31, 2014 at the age of 82. She is predeceased by her parents, Aubrey and Alta Evans lifelong farmers of Hagerman, NM, her husbands, O.E. Stuart of Dallas, TX and Marion Wolgamott of Roswell, NM. She is lovingly remembered by her seven sisters and five brothers-in-law, Pauline and Jim Wyman, Frances Laymance, [auth] Lois and Richard Allen, Ruth Jacko, Mary and Charles Weisleder, Jean and Bill Sparks, Carol and Bob Scott; her son, Steven Stuart of Roswell, NM, her daughter, Kellee Stuart Ward of Dallas, TX, her stepchildren, Leonard Wolgamott of Atlanta, GA, Cindy nee Wolgamott of Roswell, and Laura James of Roswell, the many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-children along with the numerous people her life of service impacted.
Following graduation from Hagerman High School, she earned a nursing degree from Lubbock Memorial Hospital. Her nursing career consisted of three jobs; floor nurse at West Texas Hospital, Lubbock, TX, private nurse for Dr. I.J. Marshall, Roswell, NM and retiring with the Roswell Independent School District.
Hazel’s love of medicine and service, led her to donate her body to science. UT Southwestern is benefited by her donation. Memorial services will be held in Roswell, NM upon completion of the study.
