Police Blotter: Toddler taken to hospital after being struck by car

A toddler was struck by a car Saturday afternoon, according to Roswell Police. The accident happened on the 1600 block of North Kansas Street. The driver was dropping off the mother and child, and the child got behind the vehicle as it was backing up.

The 1-year-old child was bumped by the car, [auth] but was injured when he fell, according to police. The child was taken to the hospital.

No charges were filed against the driver. However, he was arrested on a separate charge, according to police.


Water rustling reported

Roswell Police responded to a report of water being illegally used on the 700 block E. Deming Street on Friday. Someone had taken the water meter off, and removed the plug the city had installed at the site to steal water. The suspects had unplugged the pipe and hooked up their own pipe so they could keep using water.


Home AC unit pilfered

On the 2700 block of South Lea Street, a 52-year-old woman reported the theft of a $7,000 heating and cooling system on Friday.
