LOS LUNAS, N.M. (AP) — A second suspect wanted in connection with a police chase crash that seriously injured a Corrales officer has been arrested.
KOB-TV reports (http://goo.gl/W4NoOZ) that Aaron Wozniak was taken into custody Monday by Valencia County sheriff’s deputies following a chase through Albuquerque’s South Valley.
According to authorities, deputies spotted Wozniak in a suspected stolen vehicle, and he later was arrested after he tried to flee on foot.
Deputies say Wozniak was taken to the University of New Mexico Hospital for injuries and is expected to be booked on five outstanding warrants.
Wozniak is accused of fleeing the scene of a crash with Corrales Officer Jeremy Romero. The Valencia County Sheriff’s Department says Wozniak was a passenger in the stolen car that Romero chased through Corrales on Jan. 21.
It was not known if Wozniak had an attorney.
