ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — Roswell police say a 34-year-old man was shot by an officer after the man charged a woman and her children with a [auth] knife.
Police spokeswoman Sabrina Morales said the unidentified man was shot early Thursday following a domestic violence call.
According to authorities, the man was shot after an officer’s stun gun failed to stop the suspect.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital and his condition is unknown.
Morales says officers linked to the case have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
