Man, woman found dead in truck identified by FBI

GALLUP, N.M. (AP) — A man and a woman found dead with gunshot wounds in a pickup truck have been identified by the FBI as residents of [auth] Prewitt in McKinley County.

The Gallup Independent ( ) reports that the bodies of 48-year-old Thomas Loley and 43-year-old Raydine Chapo were found Feb. 8 in the truck near Casamero Lake.

Its lights were on and its engine was running, and a handgun was found in the truck.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says the deaths may have been a homicide but that the investigation isn’t complete.

Autopsies will determine the causes of death.
