Rudolfo P. Parreño
April 14, 1928 — Jan. 19, 2014
Dr. Rudolfo P. Parreño met Christ his Savior face to face on Sunday evening, January 19, 2014, at home in Kalaheo, surrounded by his wife and daughters. Rudolfo was a former physician and retired pastor, serving as senior pastor of [auth] Grace Bible Church, Manila; Parañaque Bible Christian Church, Parañaque; and Congregational Christian Church, Los Angeles. He served in the leadership of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship in Manila, founded the Agape Class at Lake Avenue Congregational Church, and he and his family served as SEND missionaries in the Philippines. He was a WWII veteran, serving as a member of the Phillippine Commonwealth Army, including the recognized guerillas, in the service of the Armed Forces of the United States. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie, two daughters, Maria and Anna Parreño, two sisters, Romola Gonzalez of New Mexico and Rosa Thaiaporn of Bangkok, and several nieces and nephews. Rudolfo loved to sing, loudly and often, and his chief desire was to know Christ and make Him known. And one thing he asked… to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life (Ps. 27:4).
