Oil field worker electrocuted; hoist touched line

CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) — An industrial accident has killed a Lovington man near Artesia in southeastern New Mexico’s oil [auth] field.

The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports ( that 28-year-old Alejandro Garcia Perez was electrocuted Monday when a hoist came into contact with overhead electrical wires.

Eddy County Sheriff Scott London says the victim’s body was sent to the Office of the Medical Investigator for an official determination of cause of death,
