FloresServices are scheduled at 10 am, Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Burial to follow at Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, NM. for Reina R. Flores who passed away on Feb. 4, 2014 at Casa Maria Healthcare Center. Lyman Graham will [auth] officiate.

Reina was born on Oct. 19, 1913 in Three Rivers, NM to Modesto and Batris Rico who have both preceded her in death.

Reina lived and raised her 5 children in Greenfield, NM. She loved her children, was not afraid of hard work and raised her children to do the same. In the late 1970,s she met the love of her life, Jesus Christ and served Him fervently and every decision she made throughout her life was based on His will and much prayer. Alzheimer’s stole a lot from our mother but it did not take the love of Jesus from her; He remained in her till 8:45 Feb. 4, 2014 like He said He would (Hebrews …13:5). Then He took her and now she resides with Him forever.

Reina is survived by 1 son; Raymond Flores from Midland, TX, 2 daughters; Loretta Lucero from Roswell, Ruth and her husband Bob Gonzales from Roswell, 2 sisters; Lorraine Rodriquez from Albuquerque, NM, Ane Marrufo from Roswell, NM. 10 grandchildren; Margaret Flores, Joyce Flores, Ricky Flores, Rosemary and her husband Jesse Ceniceros all from Midland, TX. Diane and her husband Dwain Nunez from Placitas, NM, Renee and her husband TJ Suiter from Littleton, CO, Bobbi Jo and her husband Alex Li from Brooklyn, NY. Larry and his wife Dianna Lucero from Albuquerque, NM, Jerry Lucero from Roswell, NM, Alex and his wife Claudia Lucero from Roswell. 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Many wonderful nieces and nephews that she loved.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons Steven Flores, and Robert Flores; 2 brothers Tomas Rico and Ramon Rico. 2 grandchildren Ricky Flores and Rosemary Flores; 1 daughter in-law, Rochel Flores; 2 brother-in-laws, Ernesto Marrufo, and Ramon Rodriquez; 1 niece Lorena Rodriquez; 1 son-in-law Sam Lucero.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Casa Maria; Majo, Jimmy, Reyna, Blanca, Felicia, Jennefer.

CNA’s Norma, Maria, Lupe as well as other CNA’s for the care given to our mother in her last days.
