Clarence Paul Blanscet, 98, Comanche, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2014.
Mr. Blanscet was born on August 25, 1915, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Lenora and W. Daniel Blanscet, and then moved with his family in 1931 to Roswell, New Mexico, where he met and later married Thelma Curtis in [auth] July 1938.
He was a truck driver most of his adult life, and loved to tell of the many experiences he had on the road. The young and old alike always enjoyed his stories and witty remarks. He was a kind and generous man, and always quick to lend a helping hand.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Thelma; one son, James; three brothers, Cecil, Arthur, and Darrel Balnscet; three sisters, Lois Shipp, Edna Jernigan, and Pearl Dean.
Survivors include two daughters, Lenora Blanscet, Wanda and husband David Gresset of Comanche, Texas; four grandchildren, Pamela Stefanov, Suzette Swords, Christy Maynard, and Dawn Andrew; ten great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Blanscet and wife Ethel of Roswell, New Mexico; two sisters, Lora Charvoz fo Coolidge, Arizona and Flora Lee of Roswell, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 11:00am., at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home in Roswell, New Mexico.
