<[auth] a href="http://rdrnews.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Chapman.jpg">Funeral services for Jerry Eugene Chapman, 64, of Roswell, will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel with Raul and Benita Zapata officiating. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery. The family will be accepting visitation on Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jerry passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at his home following a short illness.
Jerry was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Artesia, to Virginia and Boliver Chapman. Jerry was a pastor, he loved to share the gospel, he recorded gospel music he enjoyed his grandchildren and serving the people of his church. Jerry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jerry was a true man of God and he lived the life. He loved Jesus with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Chapman, of the family home; his children: Sherry Laman, of Oklahoma, Gerald Sentell and Amy, of Roswell, Geneva Clements, of Roswell; 13 grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Christy, Andrew, Larissa, Nathaniel, Mariah, Joel, Christian, Jeremiah, Aden, Josh, Scotty; one great-grandchild, Elijah; his mother, Virginia Hudson, of Artesia; his brothers: Hiram and wife, Trish Chapman, of Roswell; Larry Chapman, of Oregon; his sister, Beverly Moore, of Roswell; and dear friend, Marie Hamm.
Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Chapman; his sister, Virginia Carol Kaspar; his grandson, Layton; and his nephew, Damion.
Pallbearers will be Justin Clements, Joshua Clements, Andrew Sentell, Scotty Burk, Ricky Velasco, Hiram Hudson Jr. and Jason Lucero.
