Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West 16th Street, Wednesday, where subjects broke a window to enter a home and removed an air conditioning unit, valued at $1,500, and a heater, valued at $1,000. The damages were assessed at $100.



• Police received a report, Wednesday, about a larceny that [auth] occurred in October 2013, in the 600 block of Canoncito Drive, where subjects entered an open garage and took $175 worth of tools and a tool box.

• Police were called to Van Lueven Place, Wednesday. The 63-year-old victim said a mini-refrigerator, a water hose and a water hose nozzle had been stolen.



Police responded to Sierra Middle School, 615 S. Sycamore Ave., Wednesday, after a 15-year-old set fire to a trash can in the bathroom. The juvenile told officials he was smoking. The youth was arrested.


Contempt of court

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman after a traffic stop for an expired license at South Lea Avenue and McGaffey Street. A warrant search revealed she was wanted in Luna County on charges of contempt of court.
