Police Blotter: Christmas gifts, other items taken on Sunday

•Police responded to Cajun Court, Sunday. The 89-year-old victim reported $10,500 worth of items stolen, including: a tool box, a coin collection, a Ruger 22 caliber rifle, some jewelry, a Purple Heart and Christmas gifts.

•Police were called to the 1100 block of South Kentucky Avenue, Saturday, after burglars forced entry into a residence and took a Bulls hat, a Dolpins hat, [auth] Chuck Taylor shoes, a Hello Kitty hat, a purple hat, a Tmax tablet, a Playstation 3, and two televisions, one 50-inch flat screen and one 46-inch flat screen, an HP computer and monitor. Damages to the door jamb and wall were assessed at $175. The stolen items were valued at $2,658.

•Police were dispatched to the 300 block of South Hemlock Avenue, Saturday, where subjects pried open the door to a residence and removed a socket set, miscellaneous tools, a tool box, a strobe light and a white Mongoose bicycle. The value of the items was estimated at $400.

• Police were called to the 300 block of South Sycamore Avenue, Sunday, after subjects pried open a door and took a drill bit set, a drill and some tools, valued at $175.



Police responded to Walmart, 4500 N. Main St., Saturday, where subjects set trash in the north parking lot on fire.
