Police Blotter: Shoplifters hit Albertsons, Kmart

Residential burglary

Officers were dispatched around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday to reports of a residential burglary with forced entry on the 300 block of West Alameda Street. The total loss of goods was valued at $3,575. A $1,500 leather couch, $1,500 55-inch TV, six watches, an Xbox [auth] 360, a Blu-Ray player and a lock box were taken.



• Officers responded to reports of shoplifting at the Albertsons on South Main Street shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday. Miscellaneous batteries valued together at $52.54 were stolen.

• Officers were called to Kmart on South Main Street at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday where it was reported that two pairs of earrings, each valued at $9.99, had been shoplifted.

• Police responded to a residence on the 1800 block of North Missouri Avenue at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, where a man reported that a $50 electric generator had been stolen from his residence.
