Snyder celebrates

Chaves County Chief Deputy Britt Snyder, who has declared his bid for sheriff, hosted a holiday party for friends and supporters Tuesday night to celebrate his [auth] recent promotion. Attendees included Sheriff Rob Coon, retired former Sheriff Pat Jennings, County Manager Stan Riggs and several supporters. “The turnout was outstanding. We have great support and now I’m in the position to make a better difference in this community,” Snyder said. His wife, Jean, said: “I’m so proud of Britt for being chief deputy.
