HeineSheri Heine Magill, 58, of Ingleside, Texas, passed away at her home Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 6630 Wooldridge Road, Corpus Christi, Texas. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Sheri was born April 2, 1955, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Berry F. Heine Jr. and Virginia Kathryn Stephenson (both preceding her in death). She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 20 years, Tommy Magill; her three brothers, Keith (Ione) Heine of Mesa, Arizona, Craig (Nicole) Heine of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Paul (Louise) Heine of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sheri was a very caring person and loved helping others. She was a registered nurse having achieved a Master’s Degree of Nursing and spent more than 30 years nursing. She spent 15 years as a surgical nurse in the U.S. Army, serving in Desert Storm and Kuwait, before retiring with the rank of Major. Sheri served as a school nurse for many years in various school districts and was loved by many for her sternness, caring nature and positive and happy disposition. She was an example to all.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous positions. Sheri loved teaching others about Jesus Christ and lived as an example.
