Aggravated assault with firearm

• Police responded to the 1700 block of North Maryland Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Thursday, where a 24-year-old [auth] man, pointed a firearm at a male acquaintance, 20. The incident followed a physical fight between the two. The victim did not press charges.

• Police took a walk-in report at 9:34 p.m. Thursday from a 24-year-old man who said that while he was driving, a man in another car pointed a gun at him. Police are unsure whether the incident occurred, in part because the victim appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. He did not provide a specific time or location of the alleged incident. Police suspect it may have occurred near Kmart on South Main Street and Hobbs Street.


Criminal damage

• Police were called to the 800 block of Twin Diamond Drive around 7 p.m. Thursday, where the door of a shed belonging to a 74-year-old man had been pried open. Costs of damages are estimated at $100.

• Police were dispatched to reports of criminal damage to a car on the 2100 block of North Atkinson Avenue near Elite Fitness and Tanning around 8 p.m. Thursday. A man, 32, had thrown a rock at a the car of a female acquaintance, 26. The subjects were having a verbal altercation at the time of the incident. The cost of damages was appraised at $300.
