The Chaves County Sheriff’s Office released the name of a homicide victim, Friday, as Jerry Parks.
Chief Deputy Britt Snyder described the victim as an elderly man. Parks’ body was discovered by a caretaker inside his residence, 1506 S. Eisenhower Road, around 9 a.m. Monday.
Snyder said during an interview on Monday that from their examination of the scene, deputies believed the death to be a homicide, but he was unwilling to say the cause of death pending an autopsy.
According to authorities, Parks died of multiple gun shot wounds.
The CCSO have identified a person of interest in the case, 17-year-old Adrian Juarez. They are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Juarez.
“Please, be aware we believe Adrian Juarez may be armed and potentially dangerous. Do not try to approach or apprehend this individual,” said Snyder.
