Police Blotter: Verbal altercation at elementary school

Police were called to Valley View Elementary School, 1105 Rancho Rd., Thursday, when a parent got into a verbal altercation between a teacher and parent regarding a child’s school work.



Police responded to the [auth] 400 block of North Washington Avenue, Wednesday, where a dumpster had been deliberately set on fire. Damages were assessed at $500.



Police were dispatched to LaQuinta Inn and Suites, 200 E. 19th St., Wednesday, after subjects entered a 2005 Toyota by breaking a window and removed a briefcase, some jewelry and a Glock 32 .357 caliber handgun from the vehicle. The visitor from Albuquerque estimated the value of items at $1,750.
