Police Blotter: Purse stolen at Stripes

Police responded to Stripes, 2600 W. Second St., Monday, where a woman was attacked by a male subject while pumping gas. According to the report, the man struck her in the head, knocking her down, opened her car door and took her purse.



• Police were dispatched to the 200 block [auth] of South Kentucky Avenue, Monday, where subjects entered a garden shed by breaking the lock and stole two leaf blowers, valued at $200; two weedwackers, valued at $100; four longbows valued at $600; and a tool box, valued at $50.


• Police responded to the 1100 block of East 17th Street, Monday, after subjects forced entry into a residence through the rear door and removed a Samsung 52-inch television valued at $4,000.


Breaking and entering

Police were called to the 200 block of South Kansas Avenue, Monday, after subjects used a pry bar to gain access to a structure. Nothing was reported stolen.


Criminal damage

Police were contacted by Mesa Middle School, 1601 E. Bland St., Monday, where about $2,100 worth of damage was done to windows.
