Police Blotter: Person attacked with screwdriver during B&E

Aggravated battery

Police responded to the 400 block of South Holland Avenue, Wednesday, in reference to a breaking and entering. The door to the residence was damaged when a male subject attempted to gain entry into the residence and then attacked the victim with a screwdriver.



Police were dispatched to Fifth Street and Shartelle Avenue, Wednesday, after a man heard dogs barking. He checked outside and noticed a male subject walking up through yards. The 60-year-old victim realized a pirot’s flag had been stolen from his porch. Officers located the male subject and found the flag, some prescription medication and marijuana. The suspect was arrested.


Vehicle Burglary

Police were called to Jet Autoglass, 816 S. Main St., Tuesday, where a subject broke into a vehicle, stole a stereo, painted “CTR” on the steering wheel, and sliced up and left feces in the back seat.
