BELEN, N.M. (AP) — Federal agents have made an arrest in Belen in connection with a Mexican murder case.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Mario [auth] Jurado-Ariostegui was taken into custody earlier this month on a murder charge that stemmed from a double homicide case in Chihuahua.

Authorities say the Mexican national was found to be living in Belen, just south of Albuquerque. The Mexican government requested that he be arrested.

Jurado-Ariostegui is being deported back to Mexico. Homeland Security agents confirmed he was a Mexican citizen and was in the U.S. illegally.
