Police Blotter: Stereo, medical kit stolen out of vehicle

Vehicle Burglary

• Police responded to 400 N. Virginia Ave., the courthouse parking lot, Tuesday, where a window was broken out of a vehicle and a stereo, backpack, medical dissection kit and medical book were stolen. The items were valued at $470. Repair and replacement costs were estimated at $400.

• Police were [auth] called to the Southeastern New Mexico Kidney Treatment Center, 2801 N. Main St., Monday, where a Dexter man was receiving medical treatment. The victim’s truck was broken into and ransacked. A Diehard battery charger, valued at $25, and an ignition key valued at $4, were removed.

• Police were dispatched to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, 405 W. Country Club Road, twice on Tuesday. In both instances, windows were smashed to gain access to the vehicles. A Bible, valued at $50, was taken from one vehicle. A purse was stolen from the second.


Criminal damage

Police were sent to the 300 block of South Sequoia Avenue, Monday, after a window to a residence was shattered. Replacement costs were estimated at $200.
