He was born in Roswell, on Aug. 26, 1961. He graduated from Goddard High School in 1979, and shortly thereafter, relocated to Midland, Texas, and began working in the concrete business.
John was an entrepreneur at heart, and owned a very [auth] successful concrete business for the past nine years. He enjoyed off-roading, camping and recreational shooting. He constantly interested himself with projects, although most of them were not his own.
John is survived by his two daughters: Kristie and Alix Fisher, of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by his two sisters: Andrea Lucero and Kathy Litt of Roswell, and his mother, Mary Lu Richards, of Albuquerque.
A few years ago, John generously donated a trailer load of children’s bicycles to Toys for Tots, so in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Toys for Tots.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with David Nobles, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at: npwelch.com.
