SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Police in Santa Fe are searching for a driver in a hit-and-run crash that injured a woman in another vehicle.
Officers responded to the scene of the crash about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Quapaw and Espinacitas streets.
Witnesses say a car ran a stop sign and then struck an SUV, causing it to overturn.
A woman in her 30s was transported to a hospital complaining of head and neck pain, but police say she’s expected to recover.
Her name hasn’t been released. She was the SUV’s lone occupant.
Witnesses say the bumper of the suspect’s car was dragging on the road when it left the scene.
Police say the driver could possibly face charges of leaving the scene of an injury accident and failing to render aid.
