ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Albuquerque man accused of squeezing a puppy to death after he caught it chewing his couch has been charged with extreme animal cruelty.
KOAT-TV reports Friday (http://bit.ly/176HYTO ) that 45-year-old Marshall Aragon was turned in by his own family after the 3-month-old Chihuahua died.
Police say Aragon told them he grabbed the puppy by the neck, and squeezed it until it stopped moving. Then he blew in the puppy’s mouth and revived it.
According to the criminal complaint, Aragon attacked the puppy because it had been chewing on his couch.
Police say Aragon told them he has anger issues. Investigators say he told them, “All I saw was red and I did it.”
