Severed head of tiny dog found in Roswell alley

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — Authorities are searching for clues after the head of a tiny dog was found cut off [auth] and dumped in a Roswell alley.

KRQE-TV reports ( that Roswell Animal Control officers say the Chihuahua’s head was discovered Thursday without the body.

Roswell Animal Control Officer Andrew Gross says it appeared the dog’s head was severed with a weapon.

Neighbors told police they don’t recognize the dog.

No arrests have been made.
