A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m., on Friday, September 20, 2013, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Resurrection is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel for Daniel “Danny” Mainello, age 47, of Roswell, who passed away on September 17, 2013, at his residence. Father Joe Pacquin with Assumption Catholic Church will officiate with interment to follow at South Park Cemetery.
Danny was born January 21, 1966, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Joseph Anthony Mainello and Karin Anna Zarges.
Danny is survived by his parents, Joseph and Karin Mainello; brothers: Michael Mainello and his wife Alice, Joseph “Jody” Mainello and his wife, Patricia; sisters: Deborah Vance and her husband Max, and Stephanie de Lara and her husband Raul Jr.; nephews: Christopher Koonce, John Monk, Jr, Zachary Mainello, Luke Mainello and Mateo de Lara; nieces: Amanda Wellner, Lauren Mainello, Madison de Lara and Anna Mainello; great nephews: Jannek Grundheber; great niece: Chloe Wellner; aunt: Elke Daouud and her husband Adel; cousin: Tobias Hummler.
Danny was born and raised in Roswell and graduated from Goddard High School. He attended Eastern New Mexico University and received his Certificate of Nursing Assistance.
Danny was a kind, generous, sensitive, good-hearted (gentle soul) person. He had a quiet sense of humor, always considerate of others, he was always giving gifts to others. Danny loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his nieces and nephews. Danny loved heavy metal music, he was the world’s biggest Steelers fan!!!! He also enjoyed classic TV shows and movies.
Danny was taken to heaven to soon. He will be greatly missed. He’s at peace!
