JARALES, N.M. (AP) — A suspect in a triple shooting in New Mexico that left a man and his daughter dead has been arrested in Los Lunas.

Valencia County Sheriff’s officials say 18-year-old Jordan Hurd was taken into custody Tuesday morning.

They say Hurd is being held on $1 million bond on suspicion of two open counts of murder along with other related charges.

Authorities say Hurd allegedly fatally shot 54-year-old Wesley Hobbs and 24-year-old daughter Amanda Hobbs on Saturday night at their home in Jarales.

Hobbs’ 49-year-old wife Patricia was also shot, but survived.

Investigators say robbery appears to be the motive for the shootings, which also could be drug related.

It was unclear Tuesday if Hurd has a lawyer.

Authorities say they’re searching for at least one other suspect in the case.
