ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Regular power has been restored to an Albuquerque hospital following a partial outage.
Full power was restored to the neighborhood of Presbyterian Hospital several hours after a Saturday morning outage, but the hospital was unable to fully reconnect with the electrical grid immediately.
The hospital’s emergency generators didn’t kick in for two hours, so the hospital suspended most visitation and admittances while it operated on partial power.
Power was fully restored Sunday.
Administrator Sandra Podley says the hospital is sorry for inconveniences to patients and their families. She says three patients were transferred to other hospitals.
Podley says hospital officials are trying to identify causes for what happened so fixes can be made.
