ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police say a suspected burglar who was shot and wounded by a [auth] homeowner is expected to survive.
Police say 34-year-old Glenn Bransford entered the home Thursday through a back door, waking the sleeping homeowner who first hid in a bathroom.
The homeowner, George Robles, then confronted Bransford and fired twice. A police spokesman says Bransford was hit once.
The wounded man made it to the backyard before collapsing. He was listed in critical condition on Friday.
Police say they’re searching for Bransford’s wife, Juliann Malczewski-Bransford, who was parked in the driveway but fled after the shooting.
No charges have been filed against the homeowner.
