Karen Yvonne Uhrich
Karen Yvonne Uhrich passed away at her home on Sunday, August 18, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
Karen was born on October 18, 1952, in Moberly, Missouri, to Ben Jack and Leta Lorraine (Tipton) Wills.
She attended Robert H. Goddard High School in Roswell, New Mexico, as well as Gateway Baptist Church.
Karen was an active member in several organizations such as: Fraternal Order [auth] of the Eagles, Women of the Moose, and the Giddings WIBC bowling association. Karen was a devoted mother, homemaker and family member.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jack and Leta Wills, stepmother Virginia Wills, all of Roswell, and brother Richard (Dicky) Wills, of Centralia, MO.
Karen is survived by her husband, David Uhrich, of Paris, MO; three daughters: Robin (Uhrich) Johnston and her husband, Johnny, of Giddings, TX; Crystal Uhrich, of Higbee, MO; and Kimberly (Uhrich) Namken and her husband, Josh, of Giddings, TX.
Surviving her as well are her four sisters: Jackie Branham, of Georgetown, TX; Evadeen Smith, of Centralia, MO; Elaine Wills, of Mexico, MO; and Marla Haydon, of Roswell, NM.
Karen had seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Michael Fitzpatrick, Chrisynthia Fitzpatrick, Brent Busby, Chase Uhrich, Dakota Van Winkle, Kiersten Namken, Brookland Namken, and Xayden Garcia.
She had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends of all, she will be missed.
It was Karen’s request for her body to be donated to the University of Missouri Anatomical Department, Columbia with no formal services.
The family had a private gathering at her home. The family suggests Memorials to the Monroe County Cancer Supporters, Missouri or Preferred Hospice of Columbia, Missouri.
